About Us
The Innovator of Flight Training Solutions
Tactical Flight Services was founded in July 2002 by a group of U.S. Air Force Pilots operating a fleet of L-39 Albatross’s for training and chase support on government contracts. In less than four years, Tactical Flight Services acquired training contracts with military entities in North and South America. According to Global Industry Leaders, the Aerospace Industry needs to attract and train over 18,000 pilots annually through 2024 to match the spectacular growth rate of the World’s Aerospace Industry. Currently, many countries around the world, especially in Asia and the Middle East, do not have the infrastructure to safely and properly train the necessary amount of pilots. In 2005, Tactical Flight Services’ Leadership Team recognized the need for an international civilian pilot training program, and launched a comprehensive search for the best entrance into this profitable market. To successfully enter the civilian pilot training market, Tactical Flight Services merged with Flight Training Services International in the beginning of 2006. Flight Training Services International successfully acquired the Commercial Airline Pilot Training (CAPT) Program in August 2006 from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. In 2002, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, the World’s Leader in Aerospace & Aviation Education, developed the Commercial Airline Pilot Training (CAPT) Program. Flight Training Services International acquired the CAPT Program due to its remarkable curriculum. Embry-Riddle developed the CAPT Training Curriculum after 75 years of pilot training experience. Since acquiring the CAPT Program, Flight Training Services International has continuously improved the program. Currently, the CAPT Program operates one of the most intensive proprietary curriculums available in the civilian ab-Initio pilot training, which is specifically designed to incorporate the Team Concept from day one. The curriculum applies proven training protocols with the latest technology. This provides the student and the prospective employer with the best training available at a cost effective time line with an extraordinarily efficient certification process. Flight Training Services International is currently building CAPT Training Centers around the world, especially in high-growth aviation markets. In addition to CAPT, FTSI’s flagship civilian training program, it continues to provide outsourced Test Pilots / Air Crews in support of various government and commercial contracts through its wholly-owned subsidiary Tactical Flight Services (TFS). These services include Test Pilots and Flight Crews for glass cockpit conversion of older refurbished aircraft as well as high performance aircraft support for mission critical training. TFS maintains an unsurpassed registry of certified and experience Pilots and Air Crews for any type of training environment. Flight Training Services International is uniquely poised to take advantage of future outsourced training requirements known to be approaching within both the International Civilian & Military Aviation arenas.
